Jane is the Schlegal Specialist in Spirituality and Aging at Conrad Grebel University College, Waterloo, Ontario. She has extensive experience as a spiritual caregiver in long term care homes and in the community, as a registered psychotherapist, a spiritual director, and an ordained Minister in both the Mennonite Church and United Church of Canada. She has an MDiv from Emanual College, Toronto School of Theology, and a BA from University of Waterloo. Jane is currently completing a doctorate in Human Relationships (Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy) at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary with a dissertation focus in the area of Spirituality and Aging. The title of her Ph.D. thesis is Narratives of Baby Boomers Envisioning Late Life Spiritual Resources. As part of her role at theSchlegel-UW RIA, Jane coordinates the Annual Spirituality and Aging Seminar, conducts research, and teaches graduate courses in Spirituality and Aging.
